Als ich jetzt eine Werbe-Email von denen bekam mit

"... neue und auf Sie zugeschnittene Dienste ... innovative Produkte ... neue daten- und #KI-gestützte Produkte ... "

habe ich das endlich mal als Anlass genommen, mein Konto dort zu löschen, was ich schon seit längerem machen wollte.

Genau 2 Jahre ist es her, dass wir unser Protestcamp in der Dortmunder Innenstadt aufgeschlagen haben, um auf die untragbare Situation für obdachlose Menschen in dieser Stadt aufmerksam zu machen.

Neben dem Fehlen von Wohnungen, den absolut katastrophalen Zuständen in den Notschlafstellen, der Vertreibung obdachloser Menschen aus der Innenstadt durch Ordnungsamt und Polizei und der menschenverachtenden Rhetorik der Stadtspitze und des Cityrings hatten wir damals ein weiteres Thema ins Zentrum gestellt: Es gibt in der Innenstadt keine einzige kostenlose, durchgängig geöffnete Toilette. Für obdachlose Menschen, die auch nachts mal ein Geschäft erledigen müssen, eine entwürdigende Katastrophe.

I once stayed at a hotel where the rooms had motion sensors that switched on LED strips under the bed when you put your feet out of the bed at night. This way you can go to the bathroom without switching the lights on.

As someone with a hypersensitivity for light I absolutely loved the idea.

So I installed something similar in my bedroom. Also with a motion sensor, but my LED strips are wifi controlled RGB LEDs. And they are connected to the Alexa, so I can also switch them on and off via voice command.

Each device needs a name for this. Because it looks at the bit lighter it was used in a porn movie I named it porn.

"Alexa, please switch on porn!"

Some people think it weird that I congratulate my cat on doing a good poop each time I empty the litter tray.

But any cat owner will know that when your cat stops doing good poops, or stops pooping entirely, then that is a very expensive trip to the vet.

And cats respond better to positive reinforcement than negative.
