Near Philadelphia(USA) is a food forest that was started in the 1920's by John Hershey. Although it was broken up in urban sprawl, many of the trees survive today in empty lots, backyards, and by parking lots.

There are pecans, walnuts, persimmons, apples, and many more, all growing without maintenance. It is thought to be the oldest living food forest in the USA.

What it's like to be me:

I have to bring the recycling bin in and check the mailbox but it's freezing-ass cold out there so I don't wanna but also I don't want to go to all the trouble of putting on warm clothes so I'm probably just going to go out there in my jammies and be miserable for about three minutes and I've already spent four hours trying to work myself up to actually doing it.

you know that feeling when you get an appliance and there's a manual but you're like "I'm never going to need this because if I need to fix it I can look it up online"

that was the "living in a world where google actually works" mindset and you should probably stop doing that

If you're cis but, like me, sometimes perform your gender in non-conforming ways, now might be a great time to ratchet that up to 11 (if you're willing and able to catch flak for potentially being perceived as trans).

I feel like this too is a matter of "do not comply in advance". Don't make it easy for people to single out trans people. Don't match people's expectations of gender. Fight the enforcement of gender roles.
