Had a arguing with a guy supporting russia financially, someone made a report and all my messages from the conversation, along with even barely political posts and comments for the last 6 month or so were wiped by mods.

However, is there a huge amount of difference between mastodon.social – if they did, of course – removing an account on their server or blocking my instance of one? In both, they cut off access to me for their couple of million active users.
So digital sovereignty matters but so does not having such massive power differentials or you might just end up very sovereignly talking to yourself :)

Als Antwort auf Aral Balkan • • •tbh if we want to create this kind of consciousness in people we should also mention all major automakers who have historically lied about climate change, lied about emissions, profited from wars and dictatorships, etc.
So people don't feel higher because they drive a BMW, GMC or a Ford instead of a Tesla, they all have ties to Nazism and the far right.
We should instead ditch cars as our main method of transportation.
