I've been defending this movie from the moment it was announced. I'm very supportive of Trek trying new stuff. Even if that means it's goofy, or quirky, or gritty, or downright dark. DS9 is dark. "Insurrection" is, too. Yet we still accept them as parts of the franchise, even beloved ones.

Section 31 works for me as part of the franchise. It's not "bad Trek".

What it is, however, regardless of whether Trek or not, is…

It's a bad movie.
