What we see these days has been happening for a long time. For many years now “reporting” has been on rise while “journalism” declined.

We need more of the latter, but we’re getting the former.

This is being weaponized (again) by anti-democratic forces in similar ways it has been in the past. These forces want to destroy the distinction between fact and fiction b/c people who can’t tell facts from fiction or lies are easy to rule and control.
