Making jokes about someone's death is an asshole move. Ridiculing someone who is sad about someone's death is an asshole move too.

Just let people have emotions, if they don't harm you.

Which brings me to the group of people who's departure you can be happy about. I mean people who made other people's lives worse. That's the only group. Let everyone else alone.

Well.

Ozzy died.

Some of us are sad.
Some are glad.

I am not going to argue with people over it.

Nobody gets to decide who we grieve over. Nobody gets to decide what makes us sad, or happy, or any other feeling.

Just let people grieve or acknowledge it, without slinging shit.

More and more each day, this place reminds me of twitter. A few loud people, telling everyone how they should act. This is not what I came here for. I came here to escape that bullshit, to be allowed to exist without being shouted down for my taste in music.

I am sad Ozzy died, even if I didn't agree with his views. In the same way I am sad my parents died even if I didn't agree with their views.

Grief is grief. It is a private matter and YOU do not get to dictate who people grieve for.

I come to think that keeping my ability to not be an "adult" is part of what helped me survive.

In part it's due to my ADHD that I have this tendency to not take myself serious and to not let anyone else make me feel like I have to get a grip on adulting and being serious.

There are some adages in German around things like "now that you are of age Y, the serious/dire part of life starts!"

That's total bullshit. I never really "adulted" and I feel very disconnected from people who did.

This doesn't mean that I avoid responsibility or accountability.

When I decided to stop publishing on Instagram, I seeked for alternatives and Pixelfed looked like a nice one. The fact that it had a migration feature from IG made me go for it. But for reasons, I don’t want to use this software anymore.
