To me there are other reasons it seems unlikely I’ll switch from #Mastodon to #BlueSky as my primary social media network. Despite the problems that Mastodon currently has.
On a detail level, there’s the problem with programmatic or algorithmic influence timeline and the easy target it creates for manipulating people.

Years ago, at a used book store, I paged through a book at a called "What to do when the Russians come", which was written in context of how to survive a Russian takeover of the USA in the 80s. And what to expect in what jobs.
I don't remember much, but it talked about preserving books from destruction, making underground resistances, making sure to keep your nose clean from the secret police, being ready to alter official documents if they fell out of favor, stuff like that.
Don't know why I'm suddenly thinking of that.
