One thing that I did not appreciate with the full-frame EOS R camera line is that you can use APS-C lenses with them seamlessly and they just apply the right crop.
@futzle I guess I should more precisely say that they can use EF-S and RF-S lenses, which wasn’t the case for Canon’s full frame EOS D camera line, and not just because of the image circle, the actual lens was sometimes mechanically incompatible.

PCR tests, when done correctly (as they usually are) are a valid test for the presence of RNA, and thus a very good measure of current or recent infection.
That said, if someone runs PCR for too many cycles, the false positives go up. That’s why a positive is “a positive signal between cycle M and N”.
Again, saying that PCR tests are invalid is a conspiracy theory.
@gordotango That's untrue. You're describing poor oligo design or use of PCR in a less-than-suitable environment or by those not used to high-throuput clinical PCR such as researchers or newcomers.
