Die logische Konsequenz aus all dem für SPD, Grüne, oder wer auch immer (rhetorisch) für Menschenrechte eintritt, kann doch nur sein, dieses elendige Anbiedern zu lassen, in Zukunft wirklich andere Politik zu machen: Keine faulen Kompromisse mehr. Asylrecht bedingungslos verteidigen. Geld für Bildung, Wohnen, Mobilität, Gesundheitsversorgung (einschließlich psychosozialer Versorgung) etc. bereitstellen. Solidarisch sein, Haltung haben Diese Gesellschaft wirklich integrationsfähig machen.
Denn Migration ist kein Problem, ist gar nicht das Thema, um das es gehen sollte. Und ich würde gerne in einer Gesellschaft leben, die das verstanden hat.

Dann kamen Merz' CDU ("Kleine Paschas" etc.), aber eben auch Scholz' SPD (Spiegel Titel), Grüne, FDP und bliesen das Thema auf, sodass im Herbst 24 42 % darin das dringendste Problem sahen. Und die Medien, samt und sonders, reproduzieren das natürlich.

ist Merz wirklich so gradlinig??? Mir sieht es eher so aus, als sei er im moralischen Sturzflug in Richtung auf eine Koalition mit der AFD. Jede moralische Grenze, auch seine selbst gesetzten, hat er jedesmal wieder durchbrochen, wenn der Weg zur Macht dies erforderlich erscheinen ließ.
Es könnte auch so sein, dass im dritten Wahlgang SPD/Grüne (oder Grün/SPD) versucht, ihren Kandidaten wählen zu lassen, und dann 'überraschend' der Afd-Kandidat keine Stimmen erhält und Herr Merz dagegen die absolute Mehrheit. Und dann Herr Merz überwältigt sagt 'so war das nicht geplant'. Von ihm dann nicht … - daher: die einzig sichere Strategie ist, wenn AFD&Union keine Mehrheit haben

Ich halte eine Kanzlerin Alice Weidel auch für realistisch, sollte die AFD mehr Prozent bekommen als die CDU. Und natürlich machen die dann eine Koalition. den Merz braucht man dann auch nicht mehr.
Die Option geht mir auch schon seit Freitag durch den Kopp. Nur: Wüst wird es nicht sein. Das lassen sich die Merkelfeinde, die 16 Jahre gelitten haben nicht bieten, jetzt, wo sie meinen, Oberwasser zu haben. Da ist Maggus dann vor seinem Ziel oder allenfalls Spahn. Und dazu gehören Eier beim potentiellen Kolitionspartner, das durchzudrücken. Die Grünen werden von der CDU eh nicht gefragt und die Spezialtechnokraten klemmen den Schwanz ein (Stichwort: staatspolitische Verantwortung)

Ich vermute im System steckt noch einiges an Resilienz, vor allem in den unterschiedlichen Bundesstaaten, aber durchaus auch in den politischen Gremien. Der US-Präsident hat einen ganz erheblichen Handlungsspielraum und jetzt sitzt dort jemand der nach dem Testlauf der ersten Amtszeit und Installation eines passenden Supreme Courts einfach mal alle guten Sitten, Traditionen u.s.w. ignoriert an die sich alle vor ihm gebunden fühlten.

@audunmb @janl Funnily we’ve experimented with this exact idea on a small scale with @medienhaus at the Berlin University of Arts. The tl;dr: No chance. All the people in power were not only not interested, but feared a loss of influence and shut down any initiative that was brought up. Competent and willing people were “let go”, way more expensive contracts and yay-sayers were are being kept. I’d be happy to learn about other cases.
Honestly: the EU doesn’t even know what to do with all the bright and talented people it already has. Hardly anyone here is interested in building modern companies that build stuff that won’t be obsolete in 5 years.
Major EU countries are making it harder and harder every month to migrate to Europe. Take #Finland as an example, not only they doubled the time needed for citizenship, they are also in process of adding extra tests (other than Finnish language qualification) for the citizenship. They also reduce the time in-between jobs to half (6 months to 3 months) for work visa. And last month they increased the required time for permanent residency by 150% and soon the language test!!
Which skilled worker in the right mind would even consider coming to Finland anymore? Very different language than others, expensive country, super high tax rate (a very social county), super tight immigration laws, not a vibrant economy, language barrier in finding jobs, tight restrictions for family visit and tourist visas,... Right-wing is stronger than ever, and **openly** racist fascist parties on the rise (e.g Sinimusta)
Ah, the problem is that most of the EU MS (even if they are not drifting directly into fascism) have drunk from the neoliberal/libertarian cool aid.
Example, Germany has a special law to allow universities to keep academics on non-permanent employment contracts, which normally would be strictly verboten.
Similar in Austria.
Basically, it's challenging to argue the EU MS should attract foreign talent, when they are doing everything possible to drive their own talent away.

I suppose a search might work to find a single post, but there's no existing way to link to a local view of a thread AFAICT. any objections to adding these?
- it would be nice if I could like/boost/mute/etc without reloading the page, let alone be taken to the first timeline page. I'd like to be able to middle-click on these buttons so that they'd take action on another tab, and I could keep on scrolling on the current tab without waiting for

I'm thinking I'd enjoy a view that showed me not the latest posts in the timeline, but the oldest posts more recent than the latest one marked as seen, with a button/link to mark those as seen and show another such page. then I could catch up roughly in order, rather than in reverse order. (this reminds me that diaspora had a nice feature of generating timestamp-based "earlier posts" links, so that there wouldn't be repeats as I paged over posts while new posts came in.
are any of these features something that you definitely wouldn't want to integrate into snac? or does any of these need further details for you to tell?

Als Antwort auf Pia Garske • • •Die logische Konsequenz aus all dem für SPD, Grüne, oder wer auch immer (rhetorisch) für Menschenrechte eintritt, kann doch nur sein, dieses elendige Anbiedern zu lassen, in Zukunft wirklich andere Politik zu machen:
Keine faulen Kompromisse mehr.
Asylrecht bedingungslos verteidigen. Geld für Bildung, Wohnen, Mobilität, Gesundheitsversorgung (einschließlich psychosozialer Versorgung) etc. bereitstellen. Solidarisch sein, Haltung haben
Diese Gesellschaft wirklich integrationsfähig machen.
