Das freut mich ungemein, denn mir war es super wichtig, dass wir wieder ein eigenes Wahllokal kriegen. Bei der letzten Wahl mussten die Dorfbewohner 3 Dörfer weiter fahren, weil da das für uns zuständige Wahllokal war. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass sich so ein Aufwand negativ auf die Wahlbeteiligung niederschlägt.

I think a misconception people might have when we say "discovered" only, is that it suggests there is some kind of natural law for mathematics.
But it's entirely man made. It has proven useful to describe properties of the world.
But yeah, it gets murky at some point... That we can use logical reasoning to describe the world seems to be a property of the Universe - so that could be seen as a discovery.

why do you think that math isn't natural in the way physics is?

specifically I'm looking for film, writing, or art.
why am I looking? my partner is an academic and is considering research or a book on such communities, she's in a humanities dept and the focus of the academic is literature, film, and art. she and a few others are exploring ideas for research that range from artistic groups sharing industrial spaces, squats, writers retreats and communities that surround them, but also communities of those who fall through the safety net of society and come together to create... this last one is why I ask.

I see people around me "migrating" to #deltachat from other messengers that they start mistrusting and stop associating themselves with those platforms. It gives me a very warm feeling. Of course it is a pleasure to know that a project you've been committed to for almost 8 years finds its unique place in a very complex, competitive messaging apps galaxy.
But I also feel like we've been here all this time not because we were waiting for "the heyday". But just because we like what we do at Delta Chat, technically, socially, symbolically.
However, when new waves of people do come to us, I am glad that they find a welcoming, usable, cosy and friendly environment. We've been trying to make it a home for ourselves, and it means that it can also be home for others.
