I got a bit done, and ouch is my back paying for it now. Jelly roll quilts have a mind of their own. I deliberately spread out patterns and colours, but they kept congregating back together 😅
For future quilts, I’d make the strips shorter for more variety, and not use my partner’s old black shirts - the thinner, perhaps polyester fabric, and my general inability to sew in a straight line means nothing is even.
And maybe use a double even thinner black stripe - one either side of the coloured panel would mean I don’t need to cut and reposition, but just sew the two ends together until it naturally reaches the middle.

Wir haben für Menschen, die von Armut betroffen sind, übrigens das Angebot, dass sie einen Betrag nennen können, der grad für einen BH drin ist. Der Rest wird aus Spendengutscheinen bezahlt, die liebe Kund*innen gespendet haben.
Da ich selber genau weiß, wie es ist, von Armut betroffen zu sein (ich hab mit HartzIV gegründet), ist mir das sehr wichtig.

TIL Rheinland-Pfalz hat sein Schulgesetz verschlimmbessert. Jedes Grundschulkind hat Anspruch auf eine 8h Betreuung. Fördermittel gibt's aber nur wenn die Gemeinden eine teilgeschlossene Ganztagsschule einrichten. Das heißt entweder hole ich mein Kind um 12 oder um 16 Uhr ab. Andere Zeiten sind nicht möglich. Auch kein Tagesweiser Wechsel zwischen 12 und 16 Uhr. Aktuell haben wir hier eine betreunde Grundschule bis 16 Uhr. Ich kann das Kind jederzeit abholen.
@fasnix ja wir haben aktuell ein Kind in der betreuenden Grundschule. Erste Klasse. Meist holen wir es zwischen 14 und 15:30 ab. Je nach Arbeit etc. man merkt jetzt schon das um so später es wird, um so "garrer" ist das Kind. Ich will gar nicht wissen wie es ist wenn 16 Uhr verpflichtend ist.
Nächster Streich: die GTS ist nur Mo-Do. Freitag wäre dann wieder optional die betreunde Grundschule.
