Wer das sagt, hat die AfD nicht verstanden. Die brauchen keinen Grund. Die machen sich zum Opfer, egal wie sauber du sie behandelst. Während sie selbst ein dreckiges und verlogenes Spiel spielen.
Überdies ist das schon gar kein Grund, um damit friedlichen Protest zu delegetimieren. Wenn ihr ne Aktion gegen Faschisten doof findet, wäre die solidarische Handlung, halt die öffentliche (!) Kritik stecken zu lassen. Oder zumindest besser zu verargumentieren.
Überdies fällt jegliches Agieren gegen die AfD unter "damit können die sich zum Opfer machen". D.h. der Umkehrschluss dieses Satzes bedeutet "Wehrt euch nicht gegen die AfD" und spätestens dann wird klar, wie gefährlich und falsch der Satz ist.
Und WEHE mir kommt jetzt jemand mit "inhaltlich stellen". Das hat jetzt seit knapp 10 Jahren nicht funktioniert, OBWOHL uns führende Faschismusforschende von Anfang an gesagt haben, dass das nicht funktioniert. Wie lang kann eine Leitung sein?
Ich fand ja, dass das mit dem inhaltlich Stellen bei diesem Interview erstmalig funktioniert hat. Ich musste die meiste Zeit so lachen, dass es mir kaum möglich war dem Gerede zu folgen.
Der ÖRR darf die Tonspur gern unter alle AFD-Beiträge legen. So funktioniert wirkungsvoller Faktencheck bei professionellen Lügnern.
Ist halt das postfaktische Zeitalter. Wir wissen ja auch seit den 70ern um die Klimakatastrophe, aber Fakten interessieren eben einfach zunehmend weniger.
Und so ist AfD „inhaltlich stellen“ doch eigentlich nur eine Beschreibung von „wir machen weiter wie bisher, auch wenn's faktisch nix bringt, dann müssen wir uns nix Neues überlegen und haben voll was getan gegen Rechts, gell ei, also sieht zumindest so aus.“

@Isabelle_Vannier @nielso Also am Grundgesetz (und damit auch am Asylrecht) haben sie ja auch mitgeschrieben. Und unter Kohl gab es wenigstens nen Spitzensteuersatz. Und das mit dem Treibhauseffekt haben sie auch irgendwie kapiert und hingekriegt. Alles nichts, was die Union alleine hinbekommen hat. Imprisoned (enslaved) workers get maybe $1/day. There are so many ways employers can get out of paying even the so-called minimum
Worked as a kid peeling tulips, other flower bulbs to support the regular workforce during the season. Though there's legal minimum wage the only payment was per crate, you had to work with inhuman robotic speed to earn anything near a decent living (and able to stand the pesticides on these bulbs).
Today there are still convenient loopholes that allow migrant workers to do effectively forced labor at a dime.

@musevg Personally, I couldn't recommend any of the current german textile printing services. They all have their downsides. Sometimes you don't earn anything or they want money from you to sell your work for their profit, sometimes they are difficult to use, sometimes the quality is poor, sometimes they refuse to print your designs. @musevg In that case, you're asking the wrong person. I have no idea. This is because I offer designs for custom textiles, not buy custom printed textiles. (I wear all colours and patterns as long as they are pitch black:, so no- not a t-shirt shop customer and thus no 1st hand customer-experience) ).
If I understand correctly, social media displaced RSS as a way to subscribe to blogs. But then once big tech decided that limiting reach was more profitable, going back to a protocol to avoid corporate control via email newsletters became popular. But now that substack dominates the space, we have a perfect opportunity for #ActivityPub and services you can run however you want like #ghost and #wordpress. But then we also really need readers and payments.

I'm quite worried about how such introduction for fedi may create monetary incentives that attract people for all the wrong reasons, and in ways that harm the current culture of fedi, which sets it apart from mainstream corporate social media.
but I'm a weirdo re fedi culture. it's too restrictive for me. I think we generally don't recognize how much more of a diversity of opinions we could welcome as long as we focus more on unwanted tagging from any side and less on misinfo and shitty opinions expressed to no one in particular.
so if the money brings annoying people but we just keep people from spamming and being assholes to each other, we'll be able to coexist like we do on the open web.
yes, I can understand. Got to add that I am also a bit worried about our ability to handle these "ifs" appropriately in the current direction that fediverse evolves. But we'll see what happens. Currently anything goes, and if someone throws monetized solutions into the mix, we gotta deal with the consequences afterwards, best way we can.
@smallcircles Look at the status of social media. Monetisation seems to rot everything. I’d ask myself first, why do I need to think about money when I want to interact with people? Could we enjoy things as they are, instead of jumping to a money-extracting mindset by default? Wouldn’t this be a much more genuine experience?
I think I largely agree but imo it depends on how we handle the money. Creators need to get paid to be able to spend time on what we love, but let's get it to them and not corporate middlemen. Please see below.

I think a decentralized social media without algos or ads changes the game. people would have to choose to spread the junk and pay the junk creators themselves. some will do that but it mostly won't reach the rest of us, unlike today.

In the UK, there is no export tax on cakes, but there is on biscuits. The tax authorities claimed that Jaffa Cakes were biscuits and therefore needed to pay tax. Jaffa Cakes themselves claimed they did not. The court held that since Jaffa Cakes were soft when fresh and went harder when they went stale, they were technically cakes, not biscuits.
(I am not a lawyer, let alone an export tax lawyer, so I can't quote specific case law and this may be apocryphal. I have once eaten a Jaffa Cake and regretted it though.)

Wobei ich den YouGov-Umfragen nichts abverlangen kann. Meines Erachtens sind sie ziemlich schlecht entworfen, sehr manipulativ und fördern die Schwarz-Weiß-Denke und den Populismus. So werden sehr oft Auwahlentscheidungen angeboten, dass man etwas oder jemanden liebt oder hasst. Weil ich der Politik von jemandem nicht zustimme, hasse ich die Person doch nicht! Das geht für YouGov anscheinend nicht zusammen. Mein Fazit nach ein paar Monaten: NotMyGov!

that's exactly what I'm doing with Libervia. Chat, forums, blogs, file sharing, A/V calls, events, end-to-end encryption, etc. All-in-one. It's XMPP and includes an ActivityPub gateways.
I don't know the functionality of Teams as I never used it (except the one time I was forced), but maybe you can base off of or take inspiration from #Owncast #livestreaming with #ActivityPub support.
