Die in Teilen rechtsextreme Partei "Konfederacja" hat in Polen zu Protesten gegen Einwanderung aufgerufen. Tausende Menschen beteiligten sich in mehr als 80 Städten. Auch Gegendemonstrationen fanden statt.
Was soll denn immer diese Quatsch-Definition? "Extremistisch" schließt 'ein bisschen extrem' aus.

Ich hab grad mal gesucht. Die letzten Nachrichten, die den Hashtag #IchBinArmutsbetroffen enthalten, sind zwei Jahre alt. Seitdem findet die Presse es offenbar wieder wichtiger, über uns zu hetzen.
I'm quite tall and I have noticeable shoulders (to avoid calling them broad, because I don't think they are).
I'm very happy with the way this looks and feels. And I can fully get if someone else feels completely out about their height, shoulders, shoe size or whatever measurement.
But if you read your own trauma or agenda into what I say, I won't react graciously.
I left rage replies and tone policing back on the nazi site and I won't allow it here. I.I'm not even angry, I'm just sad that people don't give others the benefit of the doubt and ask how something is meant, before they draw the sword.

Recently, the phrase “that keep me up at night” has been a literal, not rhetorical.
2025 offers much that's worrisome, but since it's my job & charge, I wake up worried about the state of software freedom & our rights to repair our software. Dark times & much work on these subjects lie ahead.
It's lonely & inefficient (work during insomnia is rarely effective).

i was always disappointed that free software didnt have a more grassroots approach. i realise open source was a shift away from that (implying there WAS a more grassroots approach initially) and i realise that the actual development of software was very grassroots, but the activism was very follow-the-leader.
if you look at the activism that has done the most to change the world or even gain the most attention in many years, its not very leader-centric. sure theres greta, but she doesnt lead all climate activism and you dont see everyone clamouring for her advice. shes well known and surely inspires many people, but she isnt running the show.
year after year i want to see the movement experimenting with ideas, with approaches, using history to see where our weak points are and what the enemys strengths are- not to be more like our enemies (thats been done already) but to figure out how to fight them.
if people have ideas theres nowhere to take them. theres little collaboration on how it should work.
The key reasons I believe FOSS lacks sufficient grassroots approach to social change is (a) most FOSS folks were (historically) people able to gain wealth by writing code the incumbent regime permitted to be FOSS, & (b) activists told developers they'd be exonerated from needing to do more for the cause if they got a job writing FOSS (& it didn't matter what code).
The opposition ran with this & embraced funding the authorship of non-copylefted middleware.
Now, that's the most FOSS written.

It's dark and rainy here today and it's sucking all the energy out of me.
I was actually somewhat productive at my job this week for a change, but all that did was remind me of how much I hate working because it's like I can feel it slowly killing me. I have a lot worth meditating on, which is annoying because I'm too tired to get myself into the zone.
Perhaps I'm expecting too much from meditation. That would be ironic.
Maybe this is one of those things where I might fare better if I stopped worrying about it. As in, maybe accepting this as a truth about myself — instead of constantly fretting about it — would make it easier to cope.
Like I say, I have much worth meditating on.
Somehow fell into a cleaning mood. Emptied the dishwasher, loaded the dirty dishes into the dishwasher, hand-washed the couple of items that can't go in the dishwasher, wiped down the kitchen counters, took out the trash and recycling, and vacuumed the living room.
So now I can fuck off the rest of the day knowing I at least accomplished something. Just need to find a way to keep myself occupied enough the rest of my day that the brain weasels don't ruin it.
