There's a dust-up over an AI ad from Bookshop.org. But they didn't use AI; Meta's ad platform automatically created an AI "variation" of the original, non-AI content.
I went to disable this crap in our Shiraki Press ad account, and got served a popup *demanding a reason why*.
Fuck Meta for this. Consent matters. We've just pulled all paid advertising from their platforms.

The answer is always "because I'm paying you money and it's what I want" and man it really speaks to the sociopathy of the industry and of Zuck's approach that you'd have to justify why you do or don't want to spend money on a facet of their services.
@josh I think the part that gets me the absolute worst—and this is true of so much modern software—is where they just change the thing out from under us after we've paid for it. It's like buying a car wash but then instead of washing the car they just rotate your tires. Nobody would be okay with that! But software does this all the gd time! 😬

google also does this. It'll hallucinate an ad for a product/service you don't sell, show it to people in a country you don't ship to, and charge you for the top spot. On by default, of course.

a long long time ago - 1994 I guess? I went to a public school that had an astronomy program and an observatory on site, being the huge nerd I was, I was part of the astronomy club, used to go there in the evenings.
The school ordered a new-fangled automatic telescope, where (after aligning the telescope properly) you could just type in the coordinates of an object and it would zoom to it.
The telescope did not allow you to enter a southern hemisphere latitude for your viewing location.

Allerdings stell ich hier mir auch die Frage, ist es wirklich notwendig, das ich/du als Allrounder mich um alles kümmern muss/soll.
Serverarchitektur/Sicherheit ist inzwischen wesentlich komplexer als der Aufbau einer Webapplikation.
Ich stelle eben auch fest, das viele "Programmierer" von Websiten keine Ahnung haben wie eine Webseite funktioniert, und umgekehrt, eine Webseite unbedienbar gemacht wird, durch die Einschränkungen der auf der Sicherheitsseite.
Schuster bleib bei deinen Leisten.
Ich denke, in der heutigen Zeit gehört für (Kleine private) Projekte auch ein kleines Team zusammengestellt, wo nicht eine Person alles macht.
Und nein, der Partner soll keine KI sein, sondern die KI soll eine Unterstützung sein, ein Werkzeug, aber kein Partner für solche Arbeiten.
P.S. Ich liebe die Grundfragen der Programmierung an die IT zu stellen, z.b. Sortieralgorithmen, die vielleicht auch funktionieren, aber leider nur vielleicht
